An Outdoor Oasis Without Compromise

Hutcherson addition

The Challenge

The client wanted an outdoor space that provided the comfort and functionality of an indoor room while allowing them to enjoy the beauty of their yard.

The Solution

We came up with a design that included a covered screen porch with a beautiful gable roof and cedar tongue-and-groove ceiling.

The Result

Whether it’s for an evening meal, a morning coffee, or entertaining friends, their new screen porch has quickly become a favorite spot for the couple.

A Stunning Screen Porch Addition

After discussing their needs and vision, we came up with a design that included a covered screen porch with a beautiful gable roof and cedar tongue-and-groove ceiling. Our team, led by craftsman Trenton, got to work by carefully planning each step of the process to ensure a seamless and worry-free experience.

We removed the original decking, framing, railing, and necessary siding, then protected the surrounding areas before construction began. After excavation and grading, we poured new concrete piers and a slab for the grill area, then framed a gable roof with a 12–16” overhang and tied it directly into the home for a clean structural integration.

Electrical upgrades included an overhead fan with a new switch, plus rerouting the sprinkler, gas line, and sump pump for proper placement. We finished the space with a cedar ceiling, full screen enclosure system, and a metal-railed deck with garden-access stairs. As always, the job wrapped with full site cleanup and lawn restoration where needed.

A Backyard Transformed

The finished screen porch has completely transformed their backyard into a space they now truly enjoy. What was once an area they rarely used is now an inviting outdoor retreat they can comfortably enjoy almost year-round—without weather interruptions, mosquitoes, or other insects ruining the moment.

Morning coffee feels peaceful again. Dinner outside is effortless. And when friends and family stop by, the porch has already become the natural gathering spot everyone gravitates to. The couple now has a beautiful, functional extension of their home that adds comfort, value, and meaningful everyday living to their outdoor space.

CUSTOMER REVIEW

“Right Angle just completed construction of a new covered deck for our home. Trent and John did an outstanding job. Their attention to detail and accuracy was exceptional. Several times, they pointed out concerns and recommended adjustments before we were even aware of the issues. They offered helpful suggestions on choices we needed to make. Daniel visited our site multiple times as well. We are very happy with our choice of Right Angle. Quality construction at a reasonable price. They would definitely be our first call should a future project be considered.”
